Delete Multiple Entries
Hey guys, I'll tell you what I'm trying to do and maybe you can help me. I went on the billboard site and purchased a subscription so I could see all the archived music charts that were popular when I was growing up (I was and am going through a nostalgic period) but they don't make it easy for me to find each individual song that I like and instead want me to search through each and every weekly chart to find all the songs that were popular. What I want to do is copy and paste each weekly chart and not really look at them, just paste them onto a word or excel file, either one works, and then figure out a way to delete any entry that shows up twice (or much more than twice) as that is definitely going to happen when going from weekly to weekly charts. This is my first post on this site so I hope you don't neglect me because I'm a Newb but this would really help me narrow down the good songs and save hours of time. I'm 25 and I'm starting from 1999 til around give or take a few years ago so there is a lot of music to be digested and if anyone knows a way to filter multiple song that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you guys so much . |

Hi dudeabides,
From what you've described, Excel would be the better tool. With Excel, you can easily sort data and use formuale for duplicate testing (assuming the data are presented consistently).
