Question SP1 for Office 2010 corrupt????

I've seen a couple of warnings to NOT install SP1 for Office 2010.... what's the opinion here??? I've got the 'update' sitting on my desktop to install; I'm just scared to do so.... The warnings have been that there are some glitches in SP1 ..

Hi cajun,

It's also quite possible that those giving the warnings either don't know what they're talking about or that their Office installations were already flakey.

Still: 'tis unwise to be the first by which the new is tried and likewise the last by which the old is set aside ... (or words to that effect).

How long has SP1 been issued? Weeks? Month? Xmonths? I don't want to be in the 'new' group....

Thanks

It was released way back on 29 June! (i.e. four days ago)

How do I remove it's alerts for updating... 4 days would certainly place me in the 'newer than new' group....

Mine's installed and I didn't have any problems at all. Where did you see these reports?

Only by modifying Windows Update - not recommended.

I have another Microsoft based site that is delivered each day thru my email...of course, it's not available during this weekend (... it'll probably be Tuesday before I get an email from them and I'll send an inquiry...

The warning wasn't due to downloading & installation; it was cautioning that there were some kinks in the operations....when I get a reply from them on Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll post it here...
