Can I move Office Setup files to gain space
Hello.
I'm need to find some disk space on my laptop. When I run Disk Cleanup, one of the options are the Office set up files. I'd like to claim that space, but figure I should hang on to them. We have a server I can move them to. But I have a couple questions... 1. is it okay to move the Office setup files. 2. where do I find these files to move them? I'm at 1% free space and nothing left to remove or get rid of...although I do admit I can archive a few things in Outlook (my archive file is on the server) Thanks! Karen |

Hi Karen,
Are these files the ones you used to install Office 2003? If so, you can probably delete them quite safely but, if you don't have any other installation media (eg because you bought a download version), I'd recommend making a back-up to CD/DVD beforehand. Copy the Product ID key to the CD also. That way, if you need to re-install at a later date, you'll have both the media and the Product ID key in the one place.
