Default network saving

I am running an ad hok (peer to peer) network. I want one user to be able to open a file in excel as read only and every one else be able to edit the file. What is the best way to achieve this?

I saved it now as a read only file. Everyone has the choice to open it as read only or regularly. I would like to prevent this one user from editing the file.

Thanks

Hi Bilbo
One way of achieving this is to have a separate file that contains links to the main file and make this file ready only. Any changes to the master file will then be reflected in the copy file automatically as long as it is stored on the same network.
Have a look at "Copy" and "Paste Special - Paste Link" options.
Good luck
Tony
