I work in IT at a global automotive OEM supplier. We just received a set of new PC's with Office 2010 Starter pre-installed. When I log into my own domain account with local Administrator rights, I am able to open both Word and Excel Starter. However, when the associates this machines are assigned to attempt to run the same programs, both crash on start-up. The associates have local Power User rights. I have attempted to repair the installation but this did not help. How can I get Office Starter to work for these Power User accounts?
If it helps, here is the error that I am receiving: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: EXCELC.EXE Application Version: 14.0.5130.5003 Application Timestamp: 4d30672a Fault Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll Fault Module Version: 6.1.7600.16385 Fault Module Timestamp: 4a5bdaae Exception Code: 00000005 Exception Offset: 00009617 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: LCID: 1033 skulcid: 1033 |
