Password entire application?
Is there a way to require a password to open both Word and Excel, not just individual documents?

Hi Mark,
That would be determined by how the app is installed. If, for example, you installed it for the administrator's account only, then anyone trying to run it (even though the icons etc might available on their desktop) would have to supply the adminstrator's password.

I didn't realize that there was an option/ability to install an application for the administrator's account. Do you know if after the app is installed that admin account restriction can be added?

Hi Mark,
Yes, the administrator can control the access privileges for any application or file, by modifying its security settings. With Windows Explorer, see under File|Prperties|Security. Whether that's the 'correct' way to do this, I don't know - it's not something I've ever needed to bother with. Such issues are more applicable in corporate environments, and are the concern of systems administrators.
