MS Office comes with a lot of cliparts... Is it legal to use these cliparts on the web? Some of these cliparts are beautiful and professional... Just wondering..
Anyone?

I think Yes, but need to read the fine print because there might be some restrinction on how you want to use it.

I love the cliparts too, Microsoft doesn't have very clear copyright items about them. But if you don't primarily use them in your publication, not resell them, also don't use them as a part of your logo, you should be fine. But please note that this is not legal advice.

You can find the official license agreement here, pay close attention to section 1.2.

By the way, I still don't know how to convert them into GIF files besides screen copy.

Arrow Use of MSFT clipart

Sorry. There is no clipart license at the above link and there is no Section 1.2.

However,
Recently a MSFT person stated on the Internet that MSFT clipart is free for any use. I wouldn't worry about it, myself. Clipart is by definition freely available.

But as my friend said above, remember that this is not legal advice.
