Default How do I get rid of windows installer problem stating \Offic

I cloned my hard drive using the Western Digital program that came with the
drive and am now getting a Windows Installer error message stating:

The path C:\ProgramFiles\OfficeUpdate11\Cabs\511974\511974. MAINSP3ff.msp
cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again,
or try to find the installation package '511974.MAINSP3ff.msp' in a folder
from which you can install the product.

My "cabs" folder is empty and no 511974* file shows up on "search."

As you've discovered, Microsoft Office doesn't like to be cloned. You
should uninstall Office and reinstall it from the original CD.

Default same problem

I had the same problem when I set up a new hard drive. I have tried to uninstall Office XP, but when I try to do that, it gives me the same error message, therefore not allowing me to unistall.

Any ideas??

You can use "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" to clean up the Office installation information, then you should be able to reinstall Office.

Please note that the cleanup utility doesn't remove the files from your hard disk, you should reinstall Office in the same directory.
