Default previous version of Office was not "genuine"

Office Version:Office 2010Operating System:Windows Vista

Hi.
My previous version of Office was not "genuine" and Word started to lose functionality.
I bought Office Home and Student 2010.
I did custom install and kept old versions.
Still some problems with 'new' version of Word.
Should I uninstall old Word? How can i do so without uninstalling all of old Office (as I want to keep "Windows Mail")?
thanks _ Garrett James

Hi Garrett,

If your previous version was simply a Trial version, you probably should have uninstalled it first. Uninstalling doesn't delete your user files, though. In any event, Windows Mail is not a part of Office - the email program that comes with Office is Outlook.
