Can't copy paste

I have suddenly lost the ability to copy and paste. Whether I use the menus, ctrl V or the right click option I can't paste. This happens in word, outlook etc. Does anyone know how to solve it. It's very frustrating.

Hello, I have been having the same issue; I have an empty box showing on my screen, but if I go to print the document - the box content is there! I have Skype installed, so I will give it a try and uninstall Skype (suggested on another thread in this forum). It helped the others. I'm running Windows 7 operating system and Office Professional Plus 2010 v14 32-bit.
