CentennialMan is on a distinguished road
Red face Upgrade gone wrong... Maybe..?

POSSIBLY this title is not actually pertinent, but "gotta start somewhere", I guess...

I have used Office 2016 Pro ever since I bought it, and had no problems UNTIL I was presented with the "opportunity" to buy Office 2021 Pro for a lot less than I'd thought I could (no doubt you might know what I'm referring to..), and downloaded the product with the intent of installing this on my laptop since all it had was an old copy of Office 2010 Pro - with all its limitations and 'foibles'. But I was (apparently) not paying attention and somehow wound up installing it on my personal PC that had (and SEEMS to still have) Office 2016 Pro... So I guess this seems to have 'upgraded' 2016 to Office Pro 2021? But that was NOT what I had intended.. And of course, this then subsequently prevented me from installing and activating it on my laptop as I wanted. So (Mr. Smart Guy, here..) I uninstalled 2021 and it was able to activate it on my laptop (with practically no interaction on my part.. which was sorta kewl..). But something is amiss here, as regards my personal PC, 'cuz every time I open an 'app' from within Office 2016 (in the most revealing case: Outlook), the 'product label' still says Outlook 2021 (File-Office Account - Product Information). Uh... so even though this does not prevent me from using it on my laptop (or so it appears), it makes me kinda curious: what gives here...? Why? I tried doing an 'online repair' of Office 2016 thinking this might alter this, but ..No.. it did not, and every 'app' from within Office 2016 still says it is Office 2021 when I examine 'Product Info'.. So I guess this is just 'idle curiosity' but ... Uh.. I guess I just don't 'get it.' Not that this is any surprise...
