No header when opened from an email attachment
Hi,
I have created a headed paper template and saved it as a template to my desktop. When I open the template and create a headed paper document using my template and then save it in 'my documents' all is ok. But when I attach it to an email then open the attachment, the header does not show unless I select 'print layout' from the veiw menu. How can I save my document so when it is opened as an attachment from an email the header shows automatically instead of having to alter the veiw each time?, because if I send my document to a customer and they dont know about the missing header they are not going to know to alter the veiw to print layout. thanks. Lindsay. |

It's a setting in your copy of Word, not the template.
Open Word, click Tools > Options, General tab, and uncheck "Allow starting in Reading Layout". |
