Hi,
How can I change the colour theme red to brown for access and also excel and word make colours paler ? Office2013 has green for Excel, Blue for Word and RED for Access, I use red for errors and warnings and would like to alter it as its shouting at me all the time. Brown would do. How can I change that colour for any part of access that I visit ? HOW ARE THE COLOUR THEMES FOR WORD AND EXCEL CHANGED, perhaps a paler blue and a paler green, its about changing the OFFICE progs theme colours, not just access, I say this now to avoid further sidelining and detraction of my question, of asking of access and being told this is not access forum. Prior this I was Access2010 and never had that colour theme bugging me. Cheers DBenz Last edited by DBenz; 12-13-2022 at 07:10 AM. |

This board doesn't have an Access forum. You should post Access questions at: Microsoft Access Forums

Hi,
I did consider that but as its not a specific Access thing, its Office themes and how to change them, same method for excel, word etc..... So as to maximise chance of someone knowing I went for this location. DBenz |

Your first post, though, clearly states this is an issue with Access and not with Word or Excel.

Hi, If I was unhappy with the word and excel colour , but I will put up with them, though to lessen the green of excel a bit would please me.
As such can we imagine I want to alter the colours of all the office themes, a paler blue for word, a paler green for excel and a pale brown for access. Now we are talking about Office 'en masse' please forget what I wrote earlier, I didnt intend it to create a whole new problem and issue and detract from getting an answer, I wish to see how Office colours can be changed. New request then,...please I want to CHANGE THE COLOURS of word, excel and access. ! DBenz |

The colours are fixed as they are the brand colours. Your only option is to select a different theme under File | Options, example shown below for Word.

Hi,
that doesnt change the red at all, and in fact alters the colour background only, selecting dark grey messes with outlook. I dont believe Msoft dont have a setting for that awful red in access. I have used Access for may yaesrand never had to stare at RED, its a warning colour. why cant they leave things alone and not break what was not broken. there has to be a way, I hope ! Perhaps Classic Shell will fix this lousy win10 look, start menu awful, no 3d, bland flat, prehistoric look....and red. DBenz |

On the Page Layout tab in Excel or the Design tab in Word, click Colors, and then click Customize Colors. Click the button next to the theme color you want to change (for example, Accent 1 or Hyperlink), and then pick a color under Theme Colors.
