After I attempted to install Office Professional Plus 2021 using Office.com/setup and finding nothing on my PC I used the same code and tried again but it is still not there. As I was setting that up the user name came up as patcolombi@aol.com but I believe the original name was patcolombi@hotmail.com. Please help me. Thank you.

I could be wrong but I think that the "Professional Plus" version of Office is for installations within corporate environments and whilst it is possible to buy that version online it can lead to the problems that you are having when it comes to installing it. It is a well known issue when buying Office 'cheap' online.
As I understand it organisations buy a number of "Professional Plus" licenses all using the same key and when that number has been installed then no further installs are allowed. The organisation may not use all the licenses and some find their way for sale on the internet and some unscrupulous vendors will sell more licenses than are remaining. Maybe you bought one of these. I sincerely hope that this is not the case and that you resolve this to your satisfaction. Good luck. |

i just logged into the new Office installed. Apparently I have two Microsoft addresses and was using the wrong one. So Office is installed and usable. However, when opening Word for the first time I found the following message
"Installing Office customization - There was an error during installation From: file:///C;/Program files (86)VueSoft/Printable/PrintableCalWord.vsto Downloading file:///C:/Program Files (x86/VueSoft/PrintableCal/PrintableCalWord.vsto did not succeed Do you know anything about this and what if anything I should do. Thank you for your time and attention to this issue. Ottiliegirl |

As regards the PrintableCalWord.vsto issue does it happen each time Word loads or just that first time? If it only happened once then there is no problem.
It seems that something is/was trying to install a PUP because VueSoft should not try to install in the first place. See About VueSoft - Creators of the Best Calendar Program for Windows and PrintableCal . A PUP is a 'Potentially Unwanted Program' and not necessarily harmful. Just unwanted and unneccessary. In this case it is simply a printable calendar and not part of Office. It is not installed on my system. It is good that the installation failed but not good that it tried to install in the first place. Try running a virus scan. These look for PUPs as well as viruses. Good luck. |
