Different versions of Office on PC and Laptop
Hi folks,
I have just realised that my PC and laptop are running different versions of Office even though I am logged into the same account on both machines and my account only shows one version of Office - Office 365. To the best of my knowledge I have never knowingly owned or used Office 2019, but I could be wrong. My desktop PC shows that it is running Office 365 but my laptop shows Office Professional Plus 2019. If I go into my MS account the only subscription I have is Office 365 and it shows both my computers in the Devices panel. Both computers are running W10 Home (64 bit) with all of the latest updates installed. Does anyone have any ideas about this or thoughts on how to get both computers using the same version of Office? |

I have been doing a bit more digging. According to Belarc Advisor I have two versions of Office installed on my laptop- versions 16 & 18. Version 16 appears to encompass Office 2016, 2019 & 2021 but I can't find a reference for V.18.
Looking at the applications installed on the laptop in the "Uninstall or change a program" screen it tells me I only have Microsoft-365 installed, so I'm a bit perplexed (to say the least) |
