parse, store and email a .tmp file from wordpad?
When our billing system "prints" to the screen, it opens Wordpad with an xyz.tmp file. Basically a text file with name, address...
The desired final result is to parse (?) the file for certain information, store the data in an access db and send the data to an email address. All based on data in the file and with just one more click? Can this be automated? Can the file be "sent" or "printed" to a db and the db do the magic? Maybe through Excel? Through Outlook? Is this feasible? Possible? Btw, I've done some vba in excel and access. Just enough to be real dangerous. All help is appreciated, thanks, Phil |
