I have a document that somebody setup for restricted access, and we cannot determine who set the restriction. Is there a record or method of finding that out so we can have them remove said restriction?

Assuming you can open the file in the first place have you looked in 'File / Info' and then on the right hand side you should see "Last Modified by" and the name of that person?

If you can't open it then right-click on the file and select 'Properties' then select the 'Details' tab. You should see a 'Last saved by' and a name but whether that will be a meaningful name is another question. For example the photo just shows "Ken" which doesn't say much. |
