I couldn't figure out why accessing the Word with licensed account fails to activate it What could be the issue here?

I think I need to purchase the 365 not the perpetual in order to activate the software with the logins
Subscription (365): can be activated with logins Perpetual: can be activated with key in one machine (MAC)
