I have a number of sections in my word document. The 4th section is set to start numbering from 1 in stead of continuing from the previous sections numbers.
I also have an index at the end of the document. Now, when I update the index to reflect latest page numbers my 4th sections settings are changed to continue numbering from section 3 rather than starting from page 1. How can I remedy this? I use Office 365 |

I found the solution:
One needs to insert a "next page" section break before the INDEX. |
