Hi I have purchased a genuine Office home and student code but no DVD with it. How do I download this please. My hardware does nor work with Windows 10 and I did purchase office 2019. I realy need 2016.


I dont mean office 365. I was expecting a DVD.

You can't simply download Office 2016 and apply your Office 2019 license to it; you'd need to purchase Office 2016 in its own right. See, for example: MS Office 2016 purchase - Bing - Shopping

Hi. I have no intention of using an office 2019 product code with a office 2016 I am not that daft. What I said was I purchased a product lice for Office 2016 but no DVD. Therefore getting the software for 2016 and applying the licence code for that product would work.


There will be people out there that have moved on to Office 2019 like yourself, who have an old dusty DVD in there cupboard. No longer needed. I would not need yours or anyone elses licence code as I have my own guenuine which I purchased. At the ned of the day, you are not buying a DVD or software. You are buying the licence code.


If anyone out there has a DVD and would send it withoute any licence number that would be fantastic.

Your original post said nothing about having purchased Office 2016 - only Office 2019.

You can download Office 2016 via: Download and install or reinstall Office 2016 or Office 2013 - Microsoft Office

Unless you have previously registered an installation of Office 2016 Home & Student, though, you won't be able to (re)download it from there. Office 2016 is also no longer downloadable from any third-party sites (unless you want to risk a cracked copy), so you'll need to go to Microsoft 365 instead.

Where is there a link after signing in to download Office 2016 without paying first when I have a liceince which i have paid for? Thank you all for your help here, there seems to be a solution. I thought that in light of Office 2019 microsoft might have ditched any attempt to download Office 2016 as they want everyone to sign up to 2019. I would love a stand alone DVD version or a downloadable version. Getting set in my old ways, I can handel this.

Sign in to download Office

Go to your Microsoft account dashboard and if you're not already signed in, select Sign in.


Which takes to the main Microsoft download site and asks me to log in. The link is

I log in and end up at

So, once you've logged in, return to whichever link I gave you is appropriate to your situation... Pretty obvious, I'd have thought.

Dosn't work. It is mearly a website telling how to install but without any actual download button

Follow the prompts in your screenshot:


Sign in to download Office

1. Go to your Microsoft account dashboard and if you're not already signed in, select Sign in.

2. Sign in with the Microsoft account you associated with this version of Office.

Forgot your account details? See I forgot the account I use with Office.

3. From the top of the page, select Services and subscriptions and on that page find the Office product you want to install and select Install.

To install Office in a different language, or to install the 64-bit version, select the link Other options. Choose the language and bit version you want, and then select Install.


This isn't rocket science...

If it is not rocket science then YOU look for office 2016. The only product I see is Office 2019, See the attachment Astronought, If you are a rocket scientist try it out yourself.

When I access that screen, I see Office 2016 (which I have a registered licence for), not Office 2019. This is consistent with the advice in post #4.

From your screenshot, it is evident yo DO NOT have an Office 2016 licence under the account your using. Read all of post #4. Discussion ended.
