Default using ms access cooed

i am trying to use this cooed



((Format$(Salary Payments.[Date],"Medium Date") Like "*Jul*"))



but it give me error message (( syntax error (missing operator) in query expression '(((Format$(Salary Payments.[Date],"Medium Date") Like "*Jul*")))\

i don't know where the problem is

can you help me
