Default My Microsoft 365 has Version 2007

When I open Word and click "account" is says Microsoft 365 and also Version 2007. I just updated and it still says that. 2007 sounds old. Is that all I get with an Office 365 subscription?

The "About" section in the snapshot is from the version of Word that opens from the Office icon in the Start menu. I think that's just a free Word for the Web and not the regular Word. I didn't know that at first. It's confusing.

So, am I stuck with version 2007 if I just have Microsoft 365? I was wondering if I should somehow get a later version for bug fixes. I noticed that copy and paste doesn't retain the correct size of fonts in text boxes, and inserting a Word document as an object only inserts the first page. I was wondering if that's fixed in a more recent version of Word.

It would also be nice if I could use a different header and footer for any page I choose. It looks like I can't do that with my version.

This means you have the latest release of Microsoft 365.
It became confusing in 2020.
The first two digits are about the year of release. The second two are the month.

Oh, OK. That's too bad actually. It means the limitations aren't fixable with an update.
