RE: Office 2003 activations
I am looking to buy used Office 2003 discs off Ebay. One to install on my XP Pro SP 3, and one for my future Win 7 PC. How do I know if there are any activations left on the key, and if there are, how many are left? How is Office 2003 activated now? Lastly, is there a way to install/activate just Word 2003? I don't use the other components of Office. Thanks for any advice. |

There is no way of knowing 'how many' activations remain. Even the notion of 'how many' activations remain is misleading, though, since it is only automatic activation that is limited. Even if automatic activation isn't possible, telephone activation is possible.
As for installing only Word, that can be done by selecting the option to do a custom installation.
