Default Office upgrade wiped product

I got a message regarding updates being applied to Office, all office tools were removed from my PC. Word, Excel, and Outlook all gone. Does anyone know why?

See your other post. Office updates should not have removed an earlier version of Office, but given Microsoft's zeal to get you to use their 365 rental version, it is possible you clicked a link to install that. It should not however have removed an earlier version merely redirected the links to the 365 version. You should find that earlier version is still present.
