Which Microsoft Office branch allows you to manually pick components to install?
The standard retail installer (of Office 2016, at least) just installs everything by default (or, at least, what they think should be installed).
However, I know there's a branch or version that uses the "classic" installer, enabling you to choose the components that are installed. I can't remember what branch it is? LTSB? VL? Enterprise? |

Whilst previous versions allowed you to choose which applications to install, in Office 2013 and later you can’t do that; instead they're customized by deleting shortcuts to applications you don't plan to use.

After further research, it appears there's no longer an MSI variant of Office 2019: Quote:
That's a shame. |
