Is upgradeing from Office 2010 worth it?
I have Office 2010 installed on both my desktop PC and my laptop. I'm retired and only use Outlook, Word and Excel for general use at home. I understand, from reading an article today, that Microsoft will still patch Office 2010 up thru 2020 but after that there will be no more patches for this version. Granted, there might be some product enhancements in Office 2019 or Office 365 that I might find beneficial but for the most part I'm a happy clam running 2010 as, so far, I have not found anything that I can't do. So my question is whether it's really worth upgrading or should I just stick with my copies of 2010 and let the support run out? If there a compelling reason why I should upgrade I would just like to know. Thanks.

Unless you need to use features added to Office 2013 & later, there's probably not much point in upgrading until you need a new system that Office 2010 won't run on; Office 2010 runs faster than any of its successors and many users prefer its colour scheme over that of its successors.
FWIW, Office 2010 has been in its 'Extended Support' phase since 13 October 2015, which for most users means it will only receive security updates; not run-of-the-mill bugfixes. Some corporations may have an extended hotfix support plan, entitling them to additional support during this period. The 'Extended Support' phase ends on 13 October 2020.
