appo is on a distinguished road
Default Can I use the office activation code on a different machine if I uninstall?

I have a tablet which is working unsatisfactorily, but came with Office preinstalled.
I would like to transfer the activation code to my new laptop, after uninstalling from the tablet.

Is this possible?
If so, how can I get the Office program on to my laptop, as it did not come on a DVD?
The laptop came with a 1 year subscription to office 365, so I will want to do this in 1 year's time, but I wonder whether the two pieces of coding are compatible. Will I have to uninstall Office 365 from the laptop, and reinstall a permanent version of Office?Where would I get the coding for a permanent version of office?
Thanks in advance

If the installation was an OEM install, no - the licence is restricted to that particular hardware - otherwise, yes.
