Valid key not accepted for registration
Hi
I have just purchased a new laptop running Windows 10. I already have a copy of Office 2010 so tried to load onto my new laptop. (I Deleted it from the old Dell) At the very start it asks for the product key. It was acceptable and 2010 loaded. However when I tried to register Office on line I was told it was not a valid key. The only option I was given was a 5 day trial. As I had to look at a couple of important documents in the end I clicked on the 5 day trial. HOW can I get Office 2010 loaded, LEGALLY ?? Thanx in advance |

Purchased online and used on my old laptop for 4 years and it was registered online with Microsoft.
Office 2010 was re-installed 2 times on the old laptop when I reformatted the hard drive. So I cannot imagine what the problem is |

If you didn't buy it from a legitimate retailer, it was quite possibly a pirated key that MS has since invalidated.

You could be right. I just googled them and it seems they are no longer in business. I still cannot understand how MS could allow me to use this product for 4 years with it being fully registered.
Looks like I will have to go to PC world and get Office 2016 Thank you You can close this thread |
