Some Office file associations not working
I recently installed Office 365 on this PC and then uninstalled Office 2007. Now, clicking on an Excel or Access file under File Explorer brings the error "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." I have double checked the default program settings for all Office files; all are seemingly set for Office 2016 associations. Clicking on a Word file opens the program and then the file itself, but not with Excel or Access. Opening either program and using Browse\Open works just fine. How to correct? |

Problem solved. I used the "repair" under Programs & features. Running the on-line repair option now has file associations working as expected.
