Default How do I backup my Office 2013 files?

I want to delete my recent 30-day-trial Office 365 install, which included Office 2016. I want to blow all that away but ensure that I still have my original Office SW (2013), as if 365 never happened.

FWIW, I downloaded and activated the 365 trial version last Tuesday, 9/26. I'm worried that 365 may have made changes to my 2013 and that removing 365 might break something with regard to 2013. This thread contains some background info:

So anyway. As a precaution I'd like to backup my Office 2013, which I dearly want to keep and use in the future. How do I do this. FYI, I have an external drive with 528 GB of free space for this purpose.

.

So what are you trying to back up - your Office installation or your documents, etc.?

For your Office installation, simply download a copy from: https://products.office.com/en-us/do...944b&tab=ForPC

For your your documents, etc., see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...-up-your-files

Sorry. I hadn't replied earlier to your question. I wanted to back up the Office installation itself. I was not worried about the .docx, .dotx, .xlsx files etc. that I'd created. I knew they were in safe locations on the drive.

It's all good now. Via the Control Panel, I crossed my fingers and "removed" Office 365. It took the Office 2016 along with it. And my Office 2013 now works as it did before all this. No problems.
