Default office 2010 and windows 10 pro

Hi all, my office 2010 was working fine and now suddenly I can't save or open files from my documents. Also if I open outlook, word or excel and try to access files it work but takes forever to access the files. If I click on the file in file manager it opens with no problem. I have tried many things and no luck.

Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office (version) > Change > Repair)?

Yes I have. tried repairing about 6 times and no luck and I have backed up my registry fiddles and no luck and restored my registry settings.
I am running Norton antivirus and my pc is kept up to date regarding updates for most programs and drivers

In that case, you may need to uninstall/reinstall Office.

I have been down that road too. I have uninstalled office 2010 twice. Surely there must be a fix for this as I see there are plenty of complaints on line and I have tried most of those fixes and they did not help.

Without knowing exactly what you've done to your system - including your 'registry fiddles' - it's impossible to say what the issue is or what the 'fix' is. For all I know you've corrupted the Windows 10 installation... You say "I see there are plenty of complaints on line" but there is no inherent issue undermining Office 2010's stability on Windows 10. Indeed, I have been running Office 2010 on Windows 10 for the best part of a year with no dramas of any kind.

I also don't propose to continue down the road of suggesting things you might try only to have you keep coming back with 'been there, done that' answers.

My fiddles with the registry have always been reset after find they don't work as I always back up my registry and then restore it to it's original state. I have been using office and windows 10 since it's arrival. Maybe I must reinstall the whole system. Sad the in general Microsoft can't help me either. Oh reinstall and then set up a MAC system for work.
