I'd like to start using 2010 while my colleagues are still using 2007. Does 2010 use new file formats? If so, can I explicitly save files in 2007 format?
Thanks! |

Hi there,
Microsoft Office 2010 defaults to the docx format. You best bet to make sure your documents are compatible with all versions of Office is to save them as Word 97-2003 documents (many computers still run Office 2003). You'll know if your document is saved in the compatible format because it will end in .doc instead of .docx. I hope this was helpful. Isabella MSFT Office Outreach Team |
