Default Office 2016 + Spanish dictionary

Hi. I want to get Office 2016 and I want the Spanish dictionary so I can type word documents in Spanish.

I went on a chat line to Microsoft and I was told it is FREE. Is the free version cut down in anyway? How would I tell Microsoft that I wanted Spanish add on unless it was an option?

I am using Windows 2007/64 but this should be ok?

TIA

Desmond.

For spell-check purposes, Spanish (in fact, many country/region-specific versions of Spanish) is installed by default. All you need do in Word, for example, is go to Review>Language and choose whichever flavour of Spanish you want to use.

Okay. Maybe this is an office version thing. I was going to upgrade from Office 2007 to 2016 and wanted this. In Office 2007 there is no Language in Review BUT

Proofing tools were always an extra and you had to pay for them. Is this no longer the case and Office 2016 comes with proofing tools for all languages?

Need word to correct this if it is wrong. Also this is Spain Spanish not Latin american Spanish

Basically I am happy to keep the ribbon in English and all the menus. I just want to be able to type and auto correct in Spanish.

Happy Birthday -> feliz cumpleaņos

That simply isn't so. See: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...ID0EABAAA=2007

Ok there are lots of options.

Add a language or set language preferences
a language pack, Language Accessory Pack (LAP), or a Language Interface Pack (LIP)
enable a keyboard layout for that language
switch between different languages by using the Language bar

-------------

What I am saying is if i UPGRADE to Office 2016 can i Check spelling and grammar in a different language? Do I need to purchase anything just to type and spell Spanish?

Is this something I could have difficulty in doing in Office 2007. Microsoft don't sell language packs for old Office anyway.

I think I've already answered that (in post #2), your doubts notwithstanding.
