Default Microsoft Office Button causes exit

Randomly, when I click on the Microsoft Office Button to save or open a file, it automatically closes the program. My nephew is experiencing the same problem. Is there an update to solve this problem? I am running Office 2007 on Windows 7.

Try running in compatibility mode. Could be a Win 7 bug. Search for updates too.
