Upgrading Office for Mac
Hello
I am currently running MS Office 2011 for Mac. I have access to the newest version (2016) which I would like to upgrade to. What I want to check, first, is that all of my autocomplete additions will still be present after I upgrade? I use a lot of non-standard symbols in my work, and have added these into the autocomplete library; it would be quite devastating to my work if these were no longer there after the upgrade. BW JB |

Any customisations should remain in-situ. As always, though, you should make backups of everything before upgrading. Because Word 2016 (on the PC at least) uses a different layout engine from 2011 & earlier, you may find that content stored in your existing 'Normal' template isn't all transferred.

Cheers Paul.
Is there anyway to save the Normal template with my modifications, so that I can import it into the new upgrade if it doesn't copy over automatically? |
