Office 2013 to Office 2016
Hi,
I have the full version of Office 2016, which I want to install on my PC running Office 2013. I want to be able to keep the settings that I have on 2013 and transfer them to 2016. I know this was possible years ago, but can't find out how to do this now. I have saved "themes" (.thmx files) is this enough? In addition, do I have to uninstall Office 2013, or will installing 2016 do this for me. Both versions are 32 bit pro versions. Thanks |

When upgrading, you have the option to retain or replace the previous Office installation. The only Office app you can't have two of is Outlook. Whichever course you choose, all your customisations & files should remain intact. As always, though, you should make backups of all your data files in case anything goes wrong.

Thank you macropod,
Presumably "replacing" 2013 removes it as connected to the PC it is removed from...?? |

When an Office installation upgrades the previous one using the option to replace the previous Office installation, the previous Office installation gets uninstalled.
