Need info on Office Upgrade
I have been using Microsoft Office for a very long time. I am using Office 2007 Ultimate. I want to install a new Office program. Because my 2007 version is so old I am concerned about how to do the upgrade. If I install a new Office program will it automatically migrate my personal files? I am using Windows 7 64bit. |

If you upgrade to a newer version of Office, all your existing files will remain intact. That said, you should make regular backups of all your data, especially before making major changes to your system.

Hello eldergnome,
If you are upgrading to newer version of Office, Office 365 is something that you can consider. I have been through similar scenario as you are in. Upgraded to Office 365. The transition was smooth. The best part is, when the next upgrade for Office comes, you don't have to worry about upgrading the license. You are eligible for the next version. Along with that you get 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. All the best. Edwin. |
