Default Can't get the ink/pen tool to disable

This problem just started today: in PowerPoint, Word and Excel the ink/pen tool has taken over. For example, in PowerPoint if I try to create something on the slide, type, or select something all I can do is draw with the pen tool! Same in Word and Excel. Right click doesn't work. Just get the pen tool.

Rebooting doesn't change anything. I've checked the Draw menu in PowerPoint but can't find anyplace to deselect the pen. I wonder if there is some keyboard combo I accidentally activated. I've tried everything but don't get anywhere. Meanwhile I''m unable to work.

Help, please!

Solved my own problem: I use a Wacom and finally found some Google help that suggested checking Wacom properties>mapping. Under mapping, deselect a box labelled Windows Ink. Bingo!
