I have made the decision to upgrade from Office 2010 to Office 365.
Office 2010 is on my existing computer, and I will start Office 365 on a new computer. Here is what I have imagined the process might be: - on both computers, turn off wifi (to prevent any updates, downloading) - Back up *.pst files and other Office files on old computer - Change email password on all accounts on old computer by adding X to the end (to prevent connection to ISP) - Use EaseUS PC trans (or similar utility) to migrate/move Office 2010 to new computer (I don;t think I can re-install it) - Turn on wifi on new computer - Start Office 365 on new computer - Setup all accounts on Office 365 - Office 365 will "recognize" the Office 2010 installation and migrate everything from 2010 to 365 ??? Some more specific questions: - Do I need a 3rd party utility to "move" Office 2010 to the new computer? Like EaseUS PC Trans - Do I need a 3rd party utility to "import" PST files into Office 365/ Like Kernel Import PST to Office 365 - Can you point me to a source, or document, or website that may have this process defined? - What happens to archive PST? Do I need a 3rd party viewer? Like Kernel Outlook PST Viewer. Can Office 365 access/allow viewing of archive PST? Thanks in advance!!! |
