Problem Sending Command to the Program - Office or Windows Problem ??
FYI: I have Windows 7, 64 bit and am having problems with Office 7 (I have the Home and Enterprise Version of MS Office.)
Over the past 5-6 days, I have tried EVERY solution mentioned on this site, the Microsoft Support Site and other Forum sites to resolve my "Problem Sending the Command to the Program" error message. This message comes up in a box and does not allow me to directly open Word or Excel files on my desktop or in folders by "double clicking" At this point, I am convinced this problem is NOT related to MS Office Word or Excel. I have essentially proved this by installing my MS Office on another Windows 7 computer. It works perfectly (I do not get the error message can can open files directly.) At this point ... I feel like the problem must be a Windows 7 problem ? Can someone weigh in on this opinion ? I would like to try and "repair" my Windows 7 without having to totally re install the Op System. Can someone advise me the best way to do this. Appreciate your thoughts and guidance on this situation. |
