Default office pro 2007 origins

I am currently looking to buy office 2007 pro. I have a pal in china who has informed me he can buy the "us version" that is supposedly made in china? for a snip of the uk retail price. (it is a retail edition not oem or academ etc) will this work the same or are there any differences? also are the us versions made in china? Many thanks all.

my mistake it says made in puerto rico not china. thats why I am wondering if it is genuine as I would think china have their own manufactured version for their retail outlets not us versions
