Default looking for MS Office 2010 home and business software

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and need some help. I recently purchased a new laptop with the OS Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.

I have used MS Office (2003, 2007) and earlier versions for many years.

I would like to purchase the latest version (SP2?) of MS Office 2010 Home and Business, as I've read complaints about 2013 Office. I've searched the internet and found many (Software Store, softsplanet, topsoftdeals, etc,) sources for the 2010 Office download. All are OEM software...no disc...one download only.

What's the deal with "OEM" software? The various vendors claim their OEM software is the same as the original corresponding MS version. Also, I read on the forum that OEM software programs cannot be uninstalled from your PC.

Is the OEM download of 2010 MS Office the way to go? Can the downloaded software be upgraded by online download if it is not the latest version? Can anyone recommend a reputable vendor for this download? Pros and Cons?

Advice appreciated...

Office 2010 is no longer available. There are some people still selling OEM versions, which are supposed to only be installed by PC manufacturers as original equipment and they are not transferrable. Install one of these at your own risk. You will get no support from Microsoft for OEM versions if it goes wrong or you are unable to activate it.

You can still get the 2010 software, but that is only of use if you have a key. No key and it lasts only for 25 uses.

If you don't want 2013, then as you appear to have 2007, install that. Retail versions are fully transferrable.

All - So does anyone know a reputable source of OEM software for 2010 MS Office?....SP2 version of Home and Office is preferred over the Student version.

Thanks all...
