Word 2010 runs just fine on Windows 8/8.1 so, if you have a valid Word/Office 2010 licence, you can use that. Do note that you should uninstall Word 2013 before installing Word 2010, though you can re-install Word 2013 alongside afterwards, if you wish. The same regime re installing older versions first applies to all Office apps.
