Default Convert Ofc 2000/Windows XP OS docs to Windows 7 OS which has NO Ofc Version Loaded

Hello -

Question: My OS is obsolete and I need to purchase a new CPU. I am planning to go with Windows 7 vs 8.1. What do I need to do in order for conversion of my doc's created w/Office 2000. I don't have the disks or "key" for my "Ofc", so I'll need to purchase whatever version will do the trick. Thanks for those who reply with recommendation.

Any version of Word, from Word 97 onwards, can read Word 2000 files. The current version is Word 2013, which is what you'll most likely get for your new PC.
