Recently I had a virus attack and that caused me to format my C drive. I use Acronis to for back-up of System and e-mail files I saved the email files at incremental and do a daily back-up. This back-up started in 2010 January.
The system file last backed up in August 2012. So my e-mails were current to August 2012. I was then able to recover e-mail to December 26, 2013. Since then I could not recover e-mails to a date close to my re-format of the drive which is at the end of May 2013. I tried to recover May 28 file which is 8.96 MB file. Acronis converts PST files to their .tib file. Is the file size is the cause of failure of the recovery? The system is hanging up on me. The tech support of Acronis is trying and their probable conclusion is that the file probably got corrupted. Acronis has an option of validation of a file. The validation is also hanging up. One time I was told that maximum size of the PSt file is 4 MB. Is it possible I could not have the recovery because of the size? Any idea on this will be highly appreciated. Is there a way _ I could back-up past file? So that if required I could import directly PST file? |
