I purchased Microsoft Office 2010 around a year ago from a retailer. I installed it and everything worked perfectly. However, I recently had to wipe my computer. I am trying to re-install Microsoft 2010, but I need the product key. Unfortunately, I threw out the box that came with the disc and I am pretty sure that the box contained the product key. What should I do?

I doubt there's anything you can do, other than buying a new licence.
