Default Reinstall Discs

I purchased Office 2010 for Win 8 as a download. How do I burn a set of CDs to use as reinstall discs, should the need arise; what files do I need to copy/burn? Thanks.

You would burn the whole download to CD/DVD. I'd suggest including a text file with your product key as well.

Thanks Paul. I found the Office 2010 folder; can I just drag and drop the folder onto the CD drive, or do I need to copy each file separately?

Hi eweingarden,

No, that won't work - you must copy the download files, not the installed files, as the former contain far more than you'll see in the latter's folder, including the installer that makes many changes to the Windows Registry and installs files in other folders as well.

You can obtain the download files from locations like: http://www.mydigitallife.info/downlo...ownload-links/
