License Question - Can I Move Office 2010 From Vista to Windows 7, Same Computer?
I have Office 2010 (3 pc, one user version) installed on a Vista Home Premium machine (32 bit) and am planning to upgrade the Vista machine to Windows 7 (64 bit version) soon. I have the second of the 3 licenses installed on a different computer which is already running Windows 7 (64 bit version). I plan to use the third license on a laptop running Windows 8 which I have ordered. My question is regarding the licensing. Will I have to use a new license in order to re-install Office 10 on the Windows 7 (formerly Vista system) after the upgrade (it will still be on the same physical computer, but just on a newer version of Windows)? Since the re-install will be on the same computer, I would think I can use the same license for the Office 2010 that’s currently on Vista on the same machine. I just wanted to verify that however. Thanks in advance for any feedback. |

Hi
As long as the version you have will work under Windows 7 then there is no issue as the Licence is for you the user not the machine. Tony |
