Compatibility pack issues
Hi, we have a domain environment where users use office 2003, they need to open office 2007 docs so have installed the compatibility pack, this seems to work when logged onto the pc as a domain admin, but when logged in as normal user it does not work and comes up that the pack needs to be installed, even though it is?
Anyone have any ideas why this would be, have been over uninstalling/reinstalling, different versions but all the same problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Chris. |

Hi Chris,
It sounds like the install is being dome in a way that makes it available for the Admin account only. Usually, you're given the choice when installing an application as to which accounts can access it. Another approach would be to install from a user account.
