Default Can I get some help setting this up please?

I'm trying to create a very basic database for my work using Access. I work in a college. We sell the residencies almost like a hotel in the summer. Its been a very long time since I last used Access though and I can't remember how to do some of the calculations. Most of it is done but for a few small things that I want there just to make things easier for my less computer literate co-workers.

I'll slowly expand on this over time, so I hope thats ok. Just so that I can deal with one problem at a time.

I have a checkin date and a checkout date. What I want the program to do is automatically calculate the number of days of the stay when its typed into those respective fields so that the author of the reservation doesn't have to manually calculate in the amount of days using a calculator.

I'd then like it to automatically calculate the amount of money to charge.

There are some variables for this calculation....

I want it to... if we type in $20 per night into a field, it only, but automatically, add's the 4% tax and gives a total.

However, if we type over $20 in the field, it should automatically add 10% tax and give a total.

All of this should be on the sheet for anyone to see.

Can you explain to me how to do this?

Thanks so much.
